Bikes & Transit
People who want to make bicycling their primary mode of transportation rely on public transit for their long trips. But the complexities of providing for bicyclists within the public transit system are rarely understood. Some bicyclists need secure bike parking at the transit stop because transit serves their destination well. Others must bring their bike onto the bus or train because they need their bike at the other end. Too often transit providers will proudly offer one component but with equal zeal forbid another, effectively compromising the potential of increasing bicycling trips through their transit system. One Street is connecting transit agencies who have completely integrated bicycling into their systems and serving agencies who want to move to this level.
