One Street’s Speakers Bureau
Have you ever found yourself in the thick of event planning staring at that scary item on your task list: “find speaker”? If it’s not scary for you yet, it likely will be. Imagine handing over the microphone at your event to someone whose words descend on your audience like a lead blanket and, as they drone on beyond their time limit, propel people out the door. The stuff of nightmares.
Your worries are over! One Street’s Speakers Bureau is designed to remedy your fears and make your event planning a snap... well, at least the part about finding a speaker. Every one of the speakers listed in our Speakers Bureau support One Street’s work and we know them to be wildly fascinating from their particular bicycling specialty.

Resources Highlights – Cash Flow Chart
This month we’d like to point out a handy tool we have posted on our Management page in our Resources section of our website. When you save this Cash Flow Chart to your computer all the calculation formulas remain intact. Then, all you need to do is adjust the row names to the income and expense items of your own organization, change the amounts per month (leave the “Total 2010” column alone because that contains the formulas) and you’ll have your own cash flow chart for 2010! Also, at the end of December 2009, make sure to plug in the amount of cash your organization has on hand in the lower left box. That will ensure you have an accurate cash calculation for the rest of the year. If you have trouble working with this chart, just contact us for help. That’s what we’re here for!
Hot Topics – Hot Topic Discussion Forums
We enjoy sharing our experiences through these e-newsletters on the hot topics we face each month. But this medium lacks the best thing about any hot topic – discussion! We’ve researched some of the forum offerings out there and haven’t found any that seem to work well and would work for our web site. If you have any recommendations, please email them to Sue Knaup, our Executive Director: sue{at}onestreet.org.
In the meantime, we have created a Facebook group, mainly for discussions: One Street for Bicycling. Please join and jump into discussions. Our first discussion topic is “The helmet problem.” Mmmm, juicy! We’ll post Hot Topics from these e-newsletters as well as others that crop up in between.
